The plant’s native range is the Indian subcontinent (Assam, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka), Laos, and Myanmar. However, now it is known and popular across the world. Kala vasa is a shrub with lance-shaped leaves 10 to 15 centimeters in length by four wide. Also, it is oppositely arranged, smooth-edged, and borne on short petioles. They are of dull brownish color when dry and have a bitter taste too.
The plant is very beneficial and recommended in problems like:
