Marjoram is a perennial herb that’s closely related to oregano. It is an evergreen plant, grown either as an annual or as a potted plant brought indoors when the weather turns cold. This low-growing plant has a mounded, shrubby appearance with aromatic, gray-green leaves that stretch around an inch long. Moreover, Marjoram is for traditional remedies as well. For example, compounds derived from marjoram have been shown to have anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties.
- Reduces inflammation
- Helps to ease digestion
- Regulates menstrual cycle
- Packed with good minerals
Also, it blooms with Small white or pink flowers from mid to late summer. The best time marjoram grows is in spring and eventually becomes a spreading ground cover.
