Calathea Rufibara is a member of the Calathea/ prayer-plants family and is native to the Amazon rainforests in Brazil. Rufibara is subtler than other varieties. Because of the tiny hairs covering the waxy stems and leaves, Calathea Rufibara is sometimes called Velvet Calathea or Furry Feather, which gives the plant a velvety feel and softens it. Moreover, this tall Calathea variety, has red stems and long, dark blue-green leaves with dark purple undersides. Best thing? It will adapt to any space, even those with less light. With little care, it will return the favor with vibrant, dense foliage.
We are sure Rufibaras will make you fall in love with them! Want to pair this beauty with other Calathea varieties too? Click to find out more Calatheas from our range here!
