Green Turtle Vine Basket, commonly known as Callisia Repens, is one of our favorites. It's a low-maintenance, fast-growing creeper. Turtle Vine Plant is a drooping plant from the genus Commelinaceae. This variety comes from Central and South America. What's best? It magnifies the charm of the balcony, terrace or any place it is kept.

Green Turtle Vine is a fast-growing perennial, grown in ideal conditions to a whooping length of 50 centimeters per year. It has a spread of 3 m horizontally and vertically that looks engaging in both planters and hanging baskets when developed.

These are extremely easy to care for plants, provided you don’t overwater. You can create a beautiful display piece using this plant in your garden, all year round with a little bit of chopping and propping.

Growing turtle vine is easy indoors and outdoors, which is what makes it a valued ornamental houseplant. Want to check out Hanging planters to pair this with? Click here now!

Things you need to know

Turtle Vine likes bright, indirect light and you should avoid direct sun, especially in the summer. It needs slightly moist soil for better growth.  This plant prefers it on the cooler side - somewhere between 10-20 celsius - and an average amount of humidity. Go for a regular soil mix, especially one that is designed for cacti and succulents
