Description
Ophiopogon dwarf Plant also known as Mundo grass, fountain plant, or monkey grass is native to China, India, Japan, and Vietnam. The plant is evergreen, sod-forming natural beauty. The leaves are linear and 20-40 cm long. The flowers appear white on a 5-10 cm stem. This plant bears fruits that are blue colored berries. It has stolons with tuberous roots.
The plant is a lovely ornamental plant that can be grown both outsides and in partial yet bright sunlight conditions. It has been a trend to grow them in order to decorate aquatic bodies, however as this is not a true aquatic plant hence they don't survive for long.
