The Poinsettia (Yellow) is considered a commercially important plant species of the varied spurge family. It is indigenous to Mexico and particularly well known for its red and green vegetation. Moreover, it is widely used in Christmas floral displays.
Although it is very attractive, it is not so easy to grow plants that often suffer from yellowing leaves. The problem arises due to numerous environmental factors. It is grown primarily as a pot plant representing about 85% of potted plant Christmas season sales. When it comes to the USA, export sales of this plant reaches up to 90% of the world.
It is a tall and rangy shrub that reaches up to a height of 10 ft. Furthermore, it consists of large, dark green, and oval leaves that are pointed at the tips. They pop up from smooth green erect stems. Flowers prop up at the stem tips during winter. The size of actual flowers are quite small and are found in yellow structures at the mid of the brilliantly colored bracts.
